Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission and Vision
Harmony Online Methodist Church is a Spirit-led, inclusive community rooted in the love, grace, and teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe all people—regardless of race, age, ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation—are equally beloved in God’s eyes. Our mission is to share the good news of the Gospel by creating an accessible, online sacred space where worship, prayer, study, and connection are open to all. We honor the diverse journeys of faith and seek to cultivate belonging through compassion, authenticity, and radical hospitality.
Inspired by a call to “run the race for God,” we strive to embody resilience, joy, and purpose in our ministry. Through biblical teaching, inclusive worship, and spiritual formation, we empower individuals to deepen their relationship with God and each other. As a church born from both vision and perseverance, Harmony Online Methodist Church welcomes all who seek to grow in faith, serve with love, and walk boldly in the Spirit—wherever they are and however they come.

My Faith Mission
Pastor Trinette Barnes shares the story of her lifelong relationship with God, beginning with her premature birth and visual impairment, which her family saw as a testimony of God’s grace. Raised in a household that regularly attended church, she learned early on about God's love, prayer, and forgiveness. Although her faith was consistent in childhood, it waned during her college years as she drifted from church life. A turning point came when she began attending church again with a neighbor, reigniting her spiritual connection. This reawakening deepened her commitment, and in March 2010, she rededicated her life to Christ through rebaptism, feeling transformed and renewed in her faith.
Pastor Barnes describes a powerful spiritual moment where she dreamt of road signs—an image foreign to her as a blind person—and received an inner message to “run the race for God.” This vision sparked a journey of purpose and ministry. She pursued biblical studies, engaged in retreats, and eventually found herself training and supporting others with visual impairments in Arkansas. Alongside her vocational work, she occasionally preached at Faith United Methodist Church, remaining anchored in her faith and guided by the Holy Spirit. Her faith walk is marked by resilience, spiritual growth, and a calling to serve God and others with love and devotion.
